Bakers Delight
We had the privilege of completing the full caulking works for the Bakers Delight fit-out at Camberwell Place, Melbourne. This project demanded meticulous attention to both aesthetic detail and functional durability. Here’s what was involved:
» Scope of work: Interior and exterior caulking for shopfront, display counters, wall joints, ceilings, and around windows and doors.
» Materials used: High-grade silicone and acrylic sealants chosen for their flexibility, colour stability, and capacity to withstand frequent cleaning, heat, and moisture.
» Colour match & finish: Ensured that caulking matched existing surfaces and was finished flush for clean, professional lines in visible areas. Particular care was taken in areas with lighting to avoid shadows or uneven joints.
» Challenge & execution: Work was scheduled around business hours to minimise disruption. Access in tight display and kitchen zones required custom scaffolding/tools. All joints were prepared (cleaned, primed where necessary) to ensure long-lasting adhesion.
» Result: A slick, consistent finish that enhances the overall presentation of the storefront and interior. The caulking supports hygiene, durability, and visual appeal — all important for a busy food retail environment.
Thomastown Home — Residential Project
We recently completed caulking works for a luxury home in Thomastown, delivering high-end finishes throughout. Key highlight areas included a home bar, kitchen, and powder room — each space demanding both precision and aesthetic harmony. Here are the details:
» Home Bar: A striking matte black porcelain bar was the centerpiece. We used Maxisil Neutral Cure Silicone – Matte Black for the joints and seal lines, complemented with Selleys No More Gaps in matching tones. The finish is sharp, modern, and seamless — perfect for the bold design intent.
» Kitchen with In-built Appliances: The cabinetry and appliance joins were sealed using Maxisil Neutral Cure Silicone – Travertine, chosen for its ability to blend with natural stone tones. Every edge around appliances, bench-tops, and cabinetry was carefully prepared and sealed to ensure long-term durability and cleanliness.
» Powder Room – Basin Focus: Featuring our brand of choice, Maxisil, in their recently released matte colour range, we used Matte White Silicone around the basin area. The result is a clean, elegant edge that complements the fixtures without distracting from them.
» Why our product selection matters:
» The Maxisil Neutral Cure Silicone line offers superior adhesion, flexibility, and fade resistance, particularly important in matte finishes.
» Matte colours tend to show every imperfection, so extensive prep work — including cleaning, priming, and smoothing — was done to achieve flawless joints.
» Use of No More Gaps in conjunction with silicone in critical areas helped ensure both function (seal & waterproofing) and visual appeal.
» Outcome: The Thomastown home now features perfectly unified caulk lines across contrasting surfaces — matte black porcelain, stone-toned travertine kitchens, and bright matte white areas — all with high quality sealants that deliver style, hygiene, and long-lasting performance.
Yarra Trams
Yarra Trams (Keolis Downer) are undertaking the task of refurbishing a range of Melbourne Trams, at the recently upgraded East Preston Tram Depot.
We are lucky to be involved in this very Australian project! Every team member of Caulk In Colour has relied on Melbourne trams over the past 25 years, from exploring Melbourne City, crossing the river or simply travelling to and from school in North Melbourne!
This project has given us the chance to demonstrate our experience in caulking and our capacity to apply our knowledge to a broad range of situational requirements.
Thank you Downer Group and Strategic Connections Group.

McDonalds Melton
Working in the back of a McDonalds restaurant was definitely a new experience for us. The employees are fast paced and the atmosphere is thick with grease. Our job is to get in there during the night at the business’ quietest hours, get the job done without fuss and get out for business as usual.
Preparation is key, knowing what products you will need from colours to tools and quantities is what makes this job possible to complete in one night. There were two distinct challenges for us: In this atmosphere of cooking, aluminium ladders become slippery! Combine that with 40mm gaps on the ceiling and we have potentially a dangerous situation. Lucky for us, Safety and non slip shoes go a long way! (A timber ladder would help also)
We always enjoy a new experience and this was certainly one.
Highpoint Shopping Centre
It has been a positive experience for the team at Caulk In Colour working along side Adam at Kor Design, his gratitude and hospitality make this an experience worth repeating!
This was a small project, 4 short days in strict time slots revolving around the weather! it involved re-caulking along paved paths and kerbs prior to being painted by Terry and his crew as the finishing touches to this new space created at the Hoyts entrance of Highpoint shopping centre.
Sikaflex has been our product of choice, the results speak for themselves! We look forward to working with Kor Design in the future.
Glenroy
This was a whole home renovation involving an array of trades. We were involved throughout the whole process from structural caulking through to shower screens and so on.
The team and I caulked the wet areas of this home with 100% silicone Maxisil A, and continues through plastered sections of the house with acrylic based caulk ‘No More Gaps’ for a paintable finish.
All in all the team did a great job and we are proud of the results. Absolute pleasure seeing this project from start to finish.
